Actually Visible

I am a wife, mother, English teacher, lifelong writer, self-published author, word nerd, and former theater kid who has been a secondary English teacher since the mid-2000s. I love anything word-related, including reading, writing, grammar, etymology, and linguistics. These all make me *lots* of fun at parties. 😉

Some of my favorite things:

• traveling to new places with my beautiful, smart, charming wife

• hanging out with our two amazing sons

• writing poetry on days when I wake up and know the words will come

• driving with the windows all the way down in the spring

• singing songs in my range (shout out to Sara Bareilles)

• reading a book written by an author who put an experience into words I could never imagine myself

• playing (and winning) a game of Scrabble

• seeing a new-to-me mountain
